Established in 1936, Norman Pearn & Co at the Millpool boat yard have been offering safe harbour to leisure & pleasure craft in Looe since our business was born.

Core to what we offer, from our Millpool Boatyard, is access to the harbour from our own private slipway. Our moorings are located in the most sheltered part of the harbour; giving you access to your craft up to 8 hours each day (4 hours either side of high water).

We can accommodate craft from 12ft up to 45ft with a variety of mooring options available, on a large stretch of the river; giving you direct access to the stunning Cornish coastline in minutes from casting off.

For just £12 each way, we offer launch & recovery from our slipway - with the option for dinghy storage or use of our tender to reach your mooring.

Why moor in Looe?

Located in SE Cornwall, Looe harbour is one of Cornwall’s most popular destinations for boating and the first port of call in Cornwall after Plymouth.

Within a short cruise from the harbour mouth, you can be exploring a number of beautiful bays, the shores of Looe Island, home to a colony of grey seals, or visit nearby Polperro (or a little further onto both Fowey & Mevagissy). Our waters are also prime for angling where you find some of the UK’s best variety of fish within just minutes of leaving port.

For smaller craft, kayaks & SUPs, the Looe river is a fantastic place to explore & a haven for wildlife, birds & ancient woodlands, which line the riverbanks.

Our moorings are also opposite a riverside petrol station, ideal to tie up & collect fuel.

On dry land, Looe has a wealth of great places to eat, drink & shop, as well as a number of places to stay, if you don’t live local.

Looe bay is just 5 minutes away from leaving our moorings, meaning its more time on the open ocean doing your favourite things like fish, diving, coast hopping, swimming.

Looe offers a huge verity to amazing restraints, pubs, shops and much more we have Looe chandlery next door on site and we also hold chandlery in our shop.
